Enlightenment Sangha Student Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a student of Master Shiva. This is a serious matter and is not one that you, or anyone should take lightly. Also, there is no guarantee that you will be accepted even if you do complete this form and go through the process. So think it over. Being a student of an Enlightened Master is a serious commitment, and will be a major priority in your life.
Please fill out and submit the form below, once Shiva has had a chance to look it over, and meditated on your application, we will set up an appointment between you and Master Shiva. It is during this last interview that a decision will be made as to your future as a student on this path.

In the event your are not accepted, your application form will be deleted from our server and all information that it contains will be destroyed. This can be done in your presence if
requested. Your information is for the use of The Enlightenment Sangha and is not shared
with any other organization or persons other than Master Shiva or his trusted assistants. No information is to be shared with anyone without your consent. Please be truthful and honest.
Any false information will place your application in jeopardy. There are no questions on this application form that will automatically disqualify you from this study.

PART 2 - STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

Accepting the below requirements implies that your role as a student of Shiva is the number one priority in your life. This means that any other aspect of your life, be it family, relationships, work, school, etc, is secondary.

If you are not going to commit to this study, you cannot be a student. Again, if this is not going to be the most important thing in your life, you should not be a student.

1. You are to make a deposit of $200 every 15th of each month, either via donate button, or brand new 100 dollar bills in an envelope. This monthly donation entitles you to attend all Open Meditations, and Intensives for free. It also allows you two Zoom sessions a month with Shiva. As a student, you will be invited to Shiva’s Retreats and Power Trips.

2. “The Path of individual Liberation” By Trungpa Rinpoche needs to be completely read by the end of the first 3 months as a student. Shiva will ask questions about the book to confirm that you read the book.

3. Attendance is required to ALL meditations and power trips where Shiva will be teaching OR any of his students. If you cannot attend you must notify Shiva with a valid enough reason to be absent.

4. You will be asked to complete a task for the study, to happily and actively participate in the Spiritual Community and its functions, and you are expected to do so with a good attitude. It is your responsibility to report whenever you can’t do it, and find someone who can complete the task on time.

5. If Master Shiva asks to meet with you, it is your responsibility to call Shiva when it is time for the meeting, and you must communicate with him first, and not wait for him to reach out.

6. Regardless of how Shiva interacts with you, you owe him respect, if you are gonna think that he is just a nice friendly guy, then you should NOT be a student, because he is not who you think he is. The way you treat a teacher that is Enlightened, is how you treat Enlightenment itself. You are required to address your teacher with respect.

7. You are required to be selfless and respectful, you have to do, and be the best you can for your teacher. Be proactive when he is around you, to offer help and be of service for whatever he needs.

8. You must put in place within the first 24 hours any formal recommendation that Master Shiva makes.

9. You are expected to practice mindfulness and compassion at all times, and primarily any time you gather with The Enlightenment Sangha members. Follow closely the rules of Spiritual Etiquette in your interaction with each other, and at group meetings.

10. Do not drink alcohol, smoke marijuana, or any other recreational drugs before coming to a meditation. Refrain from smoking tobacco for at least 20 minutes, and do not leave to have a cigarette during the break. Cigarettes and any other addictive habit must be eliminated from your life as soon as possible.

11. Do some cardio exercise for 30 minutes and take a shower before coming to a meditation, or whenever you will be meeting with your teacher. If this is not possible, at least wash your face and hands.

12. Wear clean, comfortable clothing to a meditation seminar. Change from your work clothes, if possible.

13. Whenever you come into the meditations, leave your concerns and ego at the door. This will help you develop focus and stillness during the meditation and help the group as well.

14. Keep conversations to a minimum before, during and immediately after the meditation session. Also, be careful when it comes to touching others physically during or immediately after the sessions.

15. Finally, always stay focused on why you choose to become a student, and what you are working toward. Strive always to see the Light in yourself and all others.
